At House Of Imported, your satisfaction is our highest priority. We take great pride in delivering authentic, high-quality imported products to your doorstep. However, we understand that sometimes things may not go as expected. This comprehensive Return & Refund Policy has been designed to make the process as smooth, transparent, and hassle-free as possible for you.

Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase or initiating a return. By shopping with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Our Return Philosophy

We believe in building long-term relationships with our customers based on trust and transparency. If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, we will do everything in our power to make it right — whether that means a replacement, exchange, store credit, or a full refund.

2. Eligibility Criteria for Returns

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  • The return request must be raised within 7 days of the delivery date
  • The item must be unused, unworn, and unwashed
  • The product must be in its original condition with all original packaging, tags, labels, accessories, manuals, and warranty cards intact
  • The item must not show any signs of damage, wear, or alteration caused by the customer
  • A valid proof of purchase (Order ID, invoice, or order confirmation email) must be provided
  • The product must not fall under the non-returnable items category (see Section 7)

3. Step-by-Step Return Process

  1. Contact Us: Email us at support@houseofimported.in with subject: Return Request – [Your Order ID]
  2. Provide Details: Include your full name, order ID, item(s) to return, and reason for return
  3. Attach Evidence: If damaged or defective, attach clear photographs or a short video
  4. Await Approval: Our team will review within 2–3 business days and notify you via email
  5. Reverse Pickup: If approved, we arrange a reverse pickup from your address at no extra charge
  6. Pack Securely: Pack the item carefully in its original packaging to avoid transit damage
  7. Confirmation: Once received and inspected, we confirm the next steps — refund, exchange, or store credit

4. Refund Policy

a) Refund Approval

If the return is approved, your refund will be initiated within 2 business days of inspection and credited back to your original payment method.

b) Refund Timelines

  • Credit/Debit Card: 5–7 business days
  • UPI / Net Banking: 3–5 business days
  • Wallets (Paytm, PhonePe, etc.): 1–3 business days
  • Store Credit: Instantly credited upon approval
  • Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders: Refunded via bank transfer — please provide bank details when raising the request

c) Partial Refunds

A partial refund may be granted if the item shows signs of use, is missing accessories, or is not in original packaging. Our team will communicate this clearly before processing.

d) Shipping Charges

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong item, defective product, etc.).

5. Exchange Policy

We offer free exchanges for: wrong item delivered, defective or damaged product, size or colour mismatch. Email us at support@houseofimported.in within 7 days of delivery with your order ID and photos. If the replacement is out of stock, we will offer a full refund or store credit.

6. Order Cancellation Policy

Before Shipment

Cancel within 24 hours of placing the order by emailing support@houseofimported.in with your Order ID. A full refund will be issued within 3–5 business days.

After Shipment

Orders cannot be cancelled once dispatched. You may refuse delivery — once returned to us, a refund will be processed after deducting applicable shipping and handling charges.

7. Non-Returnable Items

The following are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Perishable goods (food, beverages, chocolates)
  • Personal care and hygiene products (once opened)
  • Undergarments, innerwear, and swimwear
  • Earrings and pierced jewellery (hygiene reasons)
  • Digital products or downloadable content
  • Customised or personalised products
  • Items marked as Final Sale, Non-Returnable, or Clearance
  • Gift cards and vouchers
  • Products damaged due to misuse or negligence by the customer
  • Items returned without prior approval from our support team

8. Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Products

Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at support@houseofimported.in with your Order ID and clear photos/video of the issue. We will arrange a free replacement or full refund at no additional cost — no questions asked.

9. Return Shipping

We arrange a free reverse pickup in most cases. If unavailable at your location, self-ship the product and share tracking details. We will reimburse shipping costs up to ₹150 upon receipt.

10. Late or Missing Refunds

  1. Check your bank account, UPI app, or wallet balance again
  2. Contact your bank or payment provider
  3. Check your spam/junk folder for refund confirmation emails
  4. If still not received after 10 business days, email houseofimports01@gmail.com with your Order ID

11. Fraud Prevention

We reserve the right to refuse returns or refunds if we suspect fraudulent activity or abuse of our return policy. Repeated misuse may result in account suspension.

12. Policy Updates

House Of Imported reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
